THE ARTS COUNCIL OF KERN PRESS EVENT
A select committee of professors, professional poets
and community members have the honor of naming:
SAMUEL RAIN BENJAMIN
Poet Laureate of Kern County, 2024-2026
Qualifying nominees also include Annis Cassells,
Geniece Trevino and Jorge Guillen.
A formal announcement will be made on
Friday, April 5th, 6 PM
at Dagny’s Coffee in Bakersfield – 1600 20th Street
Each of the nominees will also read a poem
along with past and present poet laureates.
Then POETRY OPEN MIC will commence.
